Here is a list of terminology used on this wiki.

Faithful - Keeping with the original vision of a game.

Game - A video game. More specifically refers to all the releases/ports/remakes and remasters of a game.

Release - A single distributed version of a game. This includes all types of releases such as ports, remakes, remasters.

Remake - A recreation of a game in a different engine with minor to no differences.

Remaster - A remake that changes aspects of a game and alters the vision.

Port - A recompiling of a game's source code to a platform not part of the original release window.

Vision - The intended experience of a game.
